Early Life and Family Background:

Mohammad Siraj was born on 13th March 1994 in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. His father, Mohammad Ghaus, used to drive an auto-rickshaw to make ends meet. Siraj's family faced financial difficulties, and he had to work hard to support his family. However, he never let his financial struggles affect his passion for cricket. Siraj grew up playing cricket on the streets of Hyderabad with a taped tennis ball. He idolized Indian fast bowler Zaheer Khan and wanted to become a fast bowler himself.

Cricketing Journey:

Siraj's hard work paid off when he was selected for the Hyderabad under-23 team in 2015. He impressed everyone with his pace and swing and was soon called up to the Hyderabad senior team. In his debut match, he took four wickets and helped Hyderabad win the match. He continued to perform well in the domestic circuit and was eventually picked by the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for the 2017 IPL season. In his debut IPL season, Siraj played an important role in SRH's journey to the playoffs. He took 10 wickets in 6 matches and impressed everyone with his accuracy and swing. He was soon picked by the Indian cricket team for the T20I series against New Zealand in 2017. However, he had to wait for his debut as he was not included in the playing XI. He finally made his international debut against Sri Lanka in December 2017 and took two wickets in his very first over. Siraj continued to impress in the domestic circuit and was picked by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the 2018 IPL season. He played all 14 matches for RCB and took 11 wickets at an economy rate of 8.86. He was also picked for the Indian A team and impressed everyone with his performances. In November 2018, he was called up to the Indian Test squad for the tour of Australia. He made his Test debut in the third Test and took five wickets in the match. In 2020, Siraj was again picked by RCB for the IPL and played a crucial role in their journey to the playoffs. He took 11 wickets in 9 matches at an economy rate of 8.68. He was also included in the Indian Test squad for the tour of Australia in the same year. He made headlines when he decided to stay with the team despite the death of his father. He made his mark in the second Test when he took five wickets in the second innings and helped India win the match.
