In 2019, Yashasvi made his debut for Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he scored a century on debut. He continued his good form in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, where he scored 203 runs in 4 matches. In the 2020 U-19 World Cup, Yashasvi finished as the tournament's leading run-scorer with 400 runs in 6 matches, which included a century in the final against Bangladesh. Yashasvi Jaiswal was bought by the Rajasthan Royals for INR 2.4 crores in the IPL auction ahead of the 2020 season. He made his debut for the team in the same season and played in 11 matches, scoring 273 runs at an average of 23.08. He was retained by the team for the 2021 IPL season and played in 7 matches, scoring 40 runs.
