The league is organized by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) and is a platform for young, aspiring cricketers to showcase their talent and compete at a high level. Tamil Nadu Premier League T20 (TNPL 2023 - TNPL Season 7) - The Twenty20 cricket league tournament organized by Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) 7th Edition of Tamil Nadu Premier League will be played in the 12 June - 12 July 2023.

History:

The first edition of the TNPL was held in 2016 and featured eight teams. The teams were named after cities in Tamil Nadu, namely Chennai, Coimbatore, Dindigul, Karaikudi, Madurai, Ruby Trichy Warriors, Tuti Patriots, and VB Thiruvallur Veerans. The first season was won by the Tuti Patriots, who defeated the Chepauk Super Gillies in the final. Since then, the TNPL has gone from strength to strength, with more teams being added and the standard of cricket improving every year.
