Family Background:

Arshdeep Singh was born on February 5, 1999, in Moga, Punjab. His father, Balwinder Singh, was a carpenter who wanted his son to pursue cricket. Arshdeep's father was his first coach and used to take him to the cricket academy in Moga, where he honed his skills.


Arshdeep Singh made his debut for Punjab in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy, a List A competition. He took six wickets in six matches and impressed with his ability to swing the ball. His performances in the Vijay Hazare Trophy earned him a call-up to the India U-19 team. Arshdeep Singh was then picked up by Kings XI Punjab in the 2019 IPL auction for his base price of INR 20 lakhs. He made his debut in the IPL in the same year and played in six matches, taking seven wickets at an economy rate of 8.38. In the 2020 IPL, Arshdeep Singh played in nine matches, taking nine wickets at an economy rate of 8.77. He played a crucial role in Kings XI Punjab's win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the league stage, taking 3 wickets for just 23 runs. In the 2021 IPL, Arshdeep Singh continued his good form and played in 11 matches, taking 12 wickets at an economy rate of 8.34. He played a key role in Kings XI Punjab's win over Royal Challengers Bangalore, taking 3 wickets for just 35 runs.
