The first edition of the APL was held in 2022 and featured 6 teams at that time. But Now 7 teams were named after cities in Amaravati Royals, Bhimavaram Bulls, Kakinada Kings, Royals of Rayalaseema, Simhadri Vizag Lions, Tungabhadra Warriors, and Vijayawada Sunshiners.
Tungabhadra warriors are the Defending Champions of This League Season 2025.
